The Story of Bobby Cappuccio
Born with a severe facial deformity and diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at age nine, Bobby Cappuccio’s early years were marked by relentless adversity. Raised in an abusive environment, he faced daily challenges that most would struggle to imagine. But instead of allowing those struggles to define him, he turned to learning, movement, and the world of ideas as his escape—and eventually, his path forward.
It was exercise that first saved his life, teaching him that change is possible. But it was his insatiable curiosity—about human behavior, leadership, art, music, and storytelling—that shaped the person he became.
From a kid who took refuge in comic books and philosophy, Bobby grew into a man who sees the world through the intersection of science, art, and lived experience. His belief? Real transformation doesn’t come from motivation or hacks—it comes from understanding who we are, what drives us, and how to make change actually stick.

How Bobby Helps Others Today
Through his keynote talks, coaching, and consulting, Bobby continues to challenge conventional thinking about self-help, leadership, and performance. He is the host of The Self Help Antidote podcast, where he delivers no-fluff insights on well-being, REAL coaching, mindset, personal, cultural and leadership development.
He is also the co-author of Shut the Duck Up, a book written with Pete Cohen, which explores the power of mindset, self-talk, and behavior change. But despite his decades of experience, Bobby will be the first to tell you he’s still learning—because that’s the point. He doesn’t believe in life hacks, overnight transformations or chasing quick fixes, just in understanding how human behavior actually works, what truly drives us. His approach? Challenge assumptions, apply what actually works, and never lose the ability to laugh—even at yourself.
